Two Great Music Programs to be Held This Fall

North Sea Gas in Concert

'North Sea Gas' is one of Scotland's most popular folk bands with great vocals and tremendous three part harmonies. Guitars, Mandolin, Fiddle, Bouzouki, Harmonica, Whistles, Bodhrans, Banjo and good humour are all part of the entertainment. They have received Gold and Silver Disc awards from the Scottish Music Industry Association and regularly have sold out shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe!!   Register online.

 

The Anna G. Harrington Mosher Boardman Concert Series presents.... Quintessential Brass

Sunday, November 5, 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

The Trustees of the Library invite you to a program entitled “Made In America” which highlights music by American composers and performers and celebrates America’s rich musical traditions. Program will include some early American music, as well as the music of Leroy Anderson, John Phillip Sousa, John Bon Jovi, Henry Mancini, the Beach Boys, Henry Filmore, Charles Ives, John Williams, Lee Greenwood, Stevie Wonder, Jason Mraz, and others, and music from Broadway, the Big Band Era, and popular TV and movie themes. Programs are selected to entertain audiences of all ages.

This brass quintet consists of five full-time professional musicians who have, individually, performed with groups all over the world, recorded CDs and movie soundtracks, performed for Presidents, and at venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
