Facilities Update

Great news! Construction has begun.

On November 19, a failed water heater caused significant damage, requiring the closure of the entire lower level for water removal and extensive cleanup, including repairs to flooring and walls and the replacement of damaged furniture.

In the months since, we've worked through the insurance approval process, solicited bids from contractors, developed plans for improvements, and handled every item in the children's collection.

We look forward to welcoming you back to a refreshed and improved lower level when we reopen! Thank you for your patience as we work to restore access to the library's lower level. (updated 6/19/26)
