Tax Forms & Assistance

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has announced that tax season will start on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. The due date for 2023 federal income tax returns is Monday, April 15, 2024 for most individual taxpayers.

Please note that the IRS is strongly encouraging obtaining tax forms online and are thus sending fewer hard copies to libraries. The Library has received a limited amount of printed federal forms 1040 and 1040-SR.

The IRS directs citizens to obtain additional copies of instruction booklets and other forms through:

IRS.gov/forms-instructions
view and download

IRS.gov/forms-pubs/order-products
order tax products to be delivered by mail

1-800-829-3676
order tax products to be delivered by mail

For legal reasons, library staff are not able to answer specific tax questions; please consult your tax preparer for questions about your tax filing.
