I don't live in Amherst. Can I still get a card?
The Amherst Town Library extends library cards to non-residents of Amherst for a fee of $125 per year. However, the fee is waived if an individual is business or property owner, employed in the town of Amherst, or a student at the Amherst Middle School or Souhegan High School. You may view the details of card eligibility on the My Account page of our website and in our Circulation Policy.
What is my Password/PIN for my library account?
If you have never set a Password/PIN, your default PIN is the last four digits of the phone number associated with your library account. If your account was created a long time ago or you have changed your PIN, it may be different.
If you have forgotten your Password/PIN, you can reset it online if you have an email address saved in your library account. Instructions will be sent to this email address.
Password/PIN are case sensitive and must be 4 - 64 characters long. This includes numbers, letters, spaces, and most special characters, except the pipe ("|").
If you do not have an email address on your account, or you need assistance, our staff will be happy to help you at the library or by phone.
